The Opportunity
PurBlend Science, Inc. manufactures full-spectrum hemp-derived cosmetics using a proprietary R134a extraction process — the same food-safe solvent used in pharmaceutical aerosols and EU-approved food processing. The result is a true full-spectrum extract that outperforms CBD isolate at lower doses.
PBX Engineering is applying for California state licensing to manufacture and sell legally under the PurBlend Science, Inc. brand. This capital raise funds the licensing pathway, first production run, and working capital to reach market.
Technology Differentiation
Tetrafluoroethane (R134a) is FDA GRAS-listed and EU-approved (EC Directive 2009/32). Non-polar, room temperature, closed-loop extraction produces a true full-spectrum oil — cannabinoids, terpenes, flavonoids, and plant material at ~30x native concentration. Less than 5% wax content. No winterization required. No residual solvent risk.
- Entourage effect — cannabinoids + terpenes + flavonoids work synergistically
- Lower effective dose than isolate for equivalent performance
- Authentic plant profile — not a reconstructed isolate blend
- Most market competitors use CO₂ or ethanol extraction
- R134a produces cleaner intermediate with no post-processing losses
- Proprietary process = defensible cost structure and quality story
