White Willow Bark is the best-evidenced ingredient here. A 12-week human clinical trial using a 0.5% topical salicin serum found measurable improvement in wrinkles, texture, pore size, and radiance, with changes visible from week one.

Rosehip oil has real, direct topical evidence: a 2025 pilot study tracked 27 volunteers applying rosehip oil daily for 5 weeks, using imaging technology to measure results — wrinkle depth, UV spot reduction, and texture all improved, with the strongest results in middle-aged and older participants. A separate 108-patient study found that after 6 weeks of twice-daily use on post-surgical scars, 73% had no remaining redness at 12 weeks versus 50% untreated. Named mechanisms include linoleic acid (supports the skin barrier), vitamin A (stimulates collagen-producing fibroblasts), and a specific compound (GOPO) that blocks the MMP-1 enzyme responsible for breaking down collagen.

Vitamin C ester works through one of the most well-documented mechanisms in dermatology — supporting collagen production and reducing pigmentation. Esterified forms like the one used here are gentler and more stable on skin than pure L-ascorbic acid, with real evidence for antioxidant and collagen-supporting activity in human skin cell studies, though generally more modest than the strongest results seen with pure vitamin C.

Blueberry extract’s anthocyanins reduce inflammatory signaling (NF-κB activation) and help prevent collagen breakdown in human dermal fibroblast studies, working in part through the Nrf2 pathway — the same pathway CBD engages.
