Multiple real clinical trials support this exact use case. A crossover study of 29 patients with peripheral neuropathy of the lower extremities found topical CBD oil produced significant improvement in pain, cold sensations, and itching, with no adverse events. A 2024 Phase III randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial of 100 patients found a transdermal cannabinoid formula significantly improved painful diabetic peripheral neuropathy of the lower extremities over 12 weeks. A separate 2024 pilot trial found topical CBD cream improved chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy symptoms.
CBD and CBG each do a distinct, real job in this formula. CBD has been shown in a 2025 laboratory study to have real antifungal activity against the exact dermatophyte fungi responsible for athlete’s foot, including Trichophyton rubrum and Trichophyton interdigitale — the first report of its kind. CBG works through a separate, receptor-independent mechanism: it physically disrupts the cell membrane of gram-positive bacteria, the same mechanism shown effective against antibiotic-resistant staph infections in laboratory and animal studies.
The soles of the feet also respond to pressure and massage. Real clinical research on foot pressure techniques has shown measurable effects on pain and relaxation — through increased local circulation, activation of the body’s natural relaxation response, and modulation of pain signaling — rather than the traditional “reflex zone” theory sometimes associated with these techniques.
